Synthesia’s New Expressive Avatars

Have you seen Synthesia's new expressive avatars in action? It's almost like someone activated their emotion chip.

Synthesia made some huge changes to their platform in the last few months. They've added an AI video assistant, expressive avatars, AI video dubbing, and many other new features.

I'll be creating a Synthesia video tutorial series in 2025, but I'm publishing this first video early to gather your feedback. (I plan to keep them short and fast-paced - this one takes about 10 minutes to watch 😊).

You'll get a quick tour of the Synthesia video editor, followed by a demo of the new features (starting at the 6 minute mark). I'd love to get your feedback on the following questions:

1) Is the pace too fast? (I tried to keep it entertaining since it's a YouTube video... but the instructional designer in me worries about cognitive load).

2) I didn't cover 1-click video translation and the new multi-lingual video player, since those are only available for Enterprise customers. How do you usually handle video translation? Would you use AI dubbing instead?

3) What topics would you like me to cover in future videos?
